DURATION: 12 months

POSITION TITLE: CULINARY TRAINEE/INTERN

Learn culinary in restaurant within large, upscale resort in Northern Minnesota. In addition to culinary, back-of-house rotations, a restaurant management rotation is a possibility.

COMPANY TYPE: Upscale Hotel/Resort

QUALIFICATIONS: Have or be pursuing a culinary-specific degree. Must have previous chef/cooking experience. Must be interested in working as part of a team to accomplish goals (both short term and long term); be respectful, responsible, and able to work well with others; and be able to live with others of diverse backgrounds and cultures. Must be comfortable in a rural area.

WAGE: $9 per hour

AVERAGE HOURS: 35-40  

SCHEDULES: Varies

APPEARANCE POLICY: Uniform

SICK/VACATION DAYS: None paid

HOUSING COSTS: Approximately $275-350 per person per month

AIRPORT: Duluth, MN.

EMPLOYER PICK-UP: Yes, if arriving Monday-Thursday during the daytime. Do not arrive late at night or on the weekend.
